International Delight Goodie Box

Anybody else love International Delight coffee creamers? Anybody else randomly tweet about their love of coffee? Last week, I tweeted "Coffee. Croissants. Crafting. My perfect morning." or something like that anyway. International Delight tweeted back saying they wanted to send me some goodies! I DMed them the info they asked for...totally excited and a little weary of actually getting anything in the mail.

Much to my surprise, they tweeted me a few days later saying my package was on its way! I was definitely getting more excited.

I got home from work yesterday and a LARGE box was sitting on our dinner table.

Ready for this?

Let's start with the handwritten shipping label, pink sparkly tissue paper, and handwritten card. So personal!!!

Drum roll pleeeeeeease!

The softest blanket. A tote bag. A magnet. A tumbler. A coupon for a free creamer. A print from one of my favorite designers. And a handwritten card from that same designer.

UMMMMM REALLY? That package was amazing.

I love Twitter. And I really love International Delight. Thank you for the best package ever!!! #MyDelight

Miranda, Motivation and Cookies.

Warning : This post will be complaining about my stupid weight and my love for cookies. Feel free to exit out now.

Alright, guys. Confession time. This is the most I've ever weighed in my life. I carry my weight in my stomach. Hello Food Baby! I'm disgusted with myself. I have no motivation. I'm lazy. I'm also an emotional eater. When I have a bad day, I want nachos. When I feel bad about myself or my weight, I eat. See the problem? Oh and I refuse to sip the kale-aid everybody is currently on. I also refuse to make myself miserable and never eat anything good again. See my second problem? I'm also the worst runner known to man, so binge cardio is out of the question.

I find myself saying I'm fat. I'm disgusted with myself. I need to lose weight. I just want to be skinny again. Nothing looks good on me. I hate my food baby. Blah blah whine whine whine. I say all of these things multiple times a day, but I don't do anything about it. I don't run. I don't go to the gym. I work at a coffee shop with access to every delicious pastry you could ever imagine.

I have officially decided that hating the way I look every second of every day is not worth the god damn cookie. (sorry family) I also don't eat cookies that often, but I bought those delicious frosting cookies the other night at Target and that's been my treat of the week.

I'm tired of being self conscious. I'm tired of worrying if people are looking at my food baby. I'm tired of feeling like the "fat friend". And I'm sooo tired of playing the comparison game with everybody I have ever known on social media.

I'm writing this post to hold myself accountable. I've done it before and it worked. So here I am. Bearing my fat cushioned soul to you. (dramatic, I know) If you feel the same way I do, let's help each other out. Email me. Comment. I could definitely use some friends and some motivation.

I won't be doing anything drastic. I don't want to weigh 100 pounds or anything cray. I'm 5'9". It won't be happening. Just being active. (potential gym membership in my future) Making better food choices. And hopefully finding ways other than food to make myself feel better when I'm upset.

So lets do this! Share your tips if you have any! :)

Video Games and Mean Girls

video games and mean girls

Jarad and I have lived in Monterey for almost two months! Where has the time gone??

I didn't really know what to expect when moving in with Jarad because I have never lived with a boyfriend before. It's been easier than I thought. Honestly, I was a little panicked about sharing a room. Would there be enough room? What if I brought too much stuff? What if he brought too much stuff? What if he's messy?

Much to my surprise, it's been a lot of fun and we have had no problems. I may take up a little too much room in the closet, but he has more stuff on the book shelf. It's all about balance right? ;)

The other day I was picking up around our room and spotted some things that made me laugh.

ribbons and baseball caps
he makes the bed and folds my baby pillow and blankie.

tools where he keeps his undies?
shopping trips. his shoes and my purse.

There really isn't much of a point to this post. I just thought the mix of boy/girl items in the room was funny.

Have you ever lived with your significant other before? How do you feel about it?

Hollister Jeans Are Better Than Ever

This post brought to you by Hollister Co. All opinions are 100% mine.

I've worn Hollister Co jeans for years. They're classic and they will never go out of style. Why are Hollister jeans different than others? They have countless washes and styles. They have special back pocket placement to make your butt look perky! And the best part? They are great quality jeans for great prices. I have a pair of Hollister jeans from highschool and I'm 22 right now!
My two favorite fits are probably Skinny and Boot. I'm also a fan of the Boyfriend fit if I'm looking for a more relaxed outfit.
Guess what??? I've partnered with Hollister to bring you lovely ladies $20 jeans! That's right...any jeans in store for $20.

I just ordered 2 pairs of jeans for myself. The above image is from  my Polyvore account :) I ordered the first and second pair. The third is on my wish list! I will be doing a follow up style post once I get them in the mail! I can't wait!

What's Really In My Bag?

I see the "What's In My Bag Posts" all the time. I can't help but feel like they are a little staged. You mean to tell me you carry around your nicest purse, your nicest wallet, and your most expensive make up ALL THE TIME? Where's your chapstick? Your gum? No random change floating around the bottom of your bag??? Lies!

So today. It's going to get real. Here's what's really in my bag.

All the big stuff first!
  • First City Music Festival flier
  • Kate Spade wallet (more on that in a second)
  • Starbucks napkins that I meant to throw out
  • My May Design planner
  • My $1 pouch from Target - I put my tip money in there
  • Bath and Body coupons because duh

  • Orbit gum always
  • Nyx Butter Lipstick in Sweet Tart
  • Blistex Raspberry Lemonade chapstick
  • Car keys. Cute cupcake key chain courtesy of my BFF
  • My house key for Monterey
  • My Nemo house key for my hometown house
  • Gold Bond Healing Lotion because a Barista needs it!
  • Eye drops. I wear contacts and would DIE without them
  • an Underarmour headband. Life saver.
  • A blue pen and a purple pen -  I color code things
See?? Normal stuff!!! Maybe a little too many normal things, but whatever. I'd rather be prepared than be somewhere without two different colored pens! ;)

Brag Coming... I got that Kate Spade wallet for half off at an opening day sale. $70 bucks baby. I'm soooo in love with it. (I've never had anything real leather before.)

Well, that's it folks! I'm off to clean out my purse...but really I'm going to throw those napkins away and be done. :)

Life Lately.

I've been totally MIA lately. Oops.

Since moving to Monterey, I have blogged very little. I was working as a receptionist before I moved out here, so I was at a desk 8 hours a day - which meant I could blog for hours.

I recently started a job as Barista/Shift Lead at a coffee shop in Pacific Grove. I LOVE IT. The area is so cute. The coffee shop is so cute. And my coworkers are awesome! I felt totally welcome and I'm so happy to be working there. I drive to work everyday in awe that I actually live here. My whole drive to work is along the beach. I can even see it while I'm walking from my car to the coffee shop! I park extra far just so I can walk and see all the Victorian houses and catch glimpses of the ocean from between the streets.

When Beth and I aren't working (she has two jobs), we eat good food, go on long walks to the beach, catch up on our favorite shows, and peruse Ulta aisles much to Jarad and Evan's dismay. We got home from work the other day and Jarad and Evan had made Bruschetta with Farmer's Market ingredients and were drinking wine. Love!

As for the 4th, my parents (mom and step dad), little sister and her friend came and camped for the weekend! They were camping super close to us and we got to hang out with them every night when I got off work. It was nice being able to show them what I'm always talking about.

This weekend, my aunts and their two baby kids are coming to stay! Eeeeek. I love family.
Next week, I get to pick up my Tilly puppy and dog sit her for TWO WHOLE WEEKS. I can't wait. AND THEN. My dad is coming to pick her up and he will be visiting us too! July is definitely family month over here.

I feel like we are finally settled in to our room/townhouse/my work schedule. I'm hoping to blog more. I also want to craft more and get my Etsy on.

There will be a couple giveaways coming up here soon, I just have to finish everything up! I haven't forgotten about you Amanda C!
